Earthquake Rocks California
Sunday's 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Mexico was the largest earthquake to hit the area in decades. It shook at least 20 million people. Actresses such as Lo Bosworth from the hills tweeted " oh my gosh a 6.9 earthquake just shook my home." Scientists measured over 100 aftershocks early Monday morning said seismotoglogist kate Hutton. Scientists said that the earthquake ocurred on a fault that has not produced a tremor in over a century. The people of Mexicali are lucky the energy went the other direction (NorthEast) because with every earthquake the earth moves a certain direction. At least 100 people were killed in Mexicalli and many many more were injured.

This is a very devastating story. I cannot believe how much damage earthquakes can cause. It is very interesting how media has changed over the years. If you go way back, it would take days to tell about an earthquake that had happened. Now as you said in your blog, people are able to keep other people updated instantly with what is going on. You have really noticed people keeping their Facebook and Twitter accounts up to date with the latest news on natural disasters.
