As an avid viewer of MTV's Teen Mom, this article caught my eye. Farrah Abraham, who is one of the stars of the reality show claims she was assulted by her mother. If you have watched the last couple seasons of the show you would have seen the way Farrah's mother Debra treated her. Which is why the accusations against Debra do not suprise me at all. In this article the police responded to a call from Farrah stating that her mother assulted her. When the police arrived at their home they were arguing about childcare issues and other problems. The problem started when Debra threw a shirt at Farrah but it reportedly landed on or near Farrah's child Sophia, causing her to cry. Debra then grabbed Farrah by the throat, Farrah pushed her hand away and Debra proceeded to slap her in the face and mouth. Officers who responded to the scene reported multiple cuts to Farrah's face and mouth.
Maybe this wouldnt have happend if it wasnt for them being on the reality television show, maybe it wouldnt have happend if Farrah hadn't become pregnant at such a young age, but like I said before these actions from Debra do not surprise me after watching her on the show. She should be punished by the law and MTV should prohibit her from making any money off the show from now on.
I am also an avid viewer of the MTV's show, Teen Mom. And after having read this and hearing about this situation for the first time, I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not Debra, Farrah's mom, would have or could have done such thing.
ReplyDeleteDuring portions of the show that Farrah and her mother are together, it seems to appear that the mother and daughter don't really have that strong or healthy of a relationship. So deciding who is ultimately in the wrong here would be tough to determine.
The two seem to fight quite a bit about Farrah's mothering skills such as whether or not she's spending enough time with Sophia. They also fight about how much "boy-time" is starting to become Farrah's top priority.
So I could definitely see an argument like this coming about. They seem like two bad-tempered people. Whether or not Debra actually assaulted Farrah is really hard to determine. You would definitely hope not.
Only time will tell in this questioning matter. And hopefully it doesn't ruin anything to do with this "get you obsessed" television show.
I also love this show. I am not a fan of Farrah's mother. She has never been nice to Farrah and she thinks she does everything for her and her baby. I don't think that Farrah is a bad mother. Farrah's mother is crazy and Farrah needs to take her baby and move out.
